Belize City
Upon arriving in Belize we had to sit on the runway because the rain was coming down too hard. We just wanted to get off the plan and run down the steps and into the warm rain. Finally, the door opened and the heavy air flooded in. Stepping out into the tropical weather the memories came back and we all realized how much we missed the beautiful smiles of the people of Belize.
Expecting to be overwhelmed by the heat, I was surprised that I actually missed the humidity that just wraps around you like a heavy, warm blanket.
The flights were uneventful unless you would ask Aaron. He thought it was the corn nuts that did not settle right no his stomach at 5:00 am. Ended up, it was probably the flu. Have you ever flown on a plane with the flu? He was miserable but hung in strong until we put him in bed at the hotel. We are all looking forward to the drive down to Big Falls today.
